Who Runs Lost Chicken?
Kaemen - Founder/CEO
I’m a lifelong outdoorsman who grew up in Colorado, but I’ve been part of the Texas community for years. I graduated from Round Rock, TX and spent a good chunk of my life hunting, working, and building relationships across the state. Texas has always been a second home.
By trade, I’m a software engineer and team leader in tech. I’ve built cloud systems, led teams, and solved tough problems for some big companies—and I still love that work. But when my wife’s family inherited a high-fence ranch in Santa Anna, it was a dream come true for me, a chance to help people connect with a piece of the great outdoors. I saw a chance to create something lasting: a place for ethical hunts, honest land stewardship, and good people to reconnect with friends, family and the outdoors.
That’s how Lost Chicken Outfitters was born.
I still work full-time in tech, but my spare moments are spent on family and the land—running trail cams, planning hunts, building food plots, fixing roads, and chasing hogs. We’re not trying to be the biggest or fanciest outfit out there. We just want to do it right — fair hunts, good land, and a smooth experience with memories that will last a lifetime.
When I’m not working or hunting, I’m with my wife and two boys, raising a family and building something we’re proud to pass on.
Dale - Co-founder/COO
Dale is a Texas native, but it wasn’t until later in life that he picked up a bow and found a deep love for hunting. Since then, he’s made up for lost time, chasing everything from doves to high country elk and taking every opportunity to pass his knowledge on to others.
By trade, Dale’s an IT director, but he’s a jack-of-all-trades through and through. Fixing fences, mowing fields, guiding hunts, or planting food plots. If it needs doing, Dale’s probably already done it (or figured out how). He’s the guy who makes things run at Lost Chicken.
Dale’s the one you’ll meet at the gate, and the one you’ll remember after the hunt. Friendly, capable, and calm under pressure, he takes his role seriously and makes sure every guest—especially new hunters—feels confident, safe, and welcome in the field.
More than anything, Dale believes hunting should be done right: ethically, respectfully, and with the kind of patience that can only be earned. He’s building this business not just for himself, but for the next generation—and he’s in it for the long haul.
