Lost Chicken started as a dream—literally.
I dreamt of a ranch: cattle grazing, grass swaying, and a few scrappy chickens wandering freely among the herd. Someone asked, “Why are there chickens with the cows?”
I answered, “Because they’re lost. Like all chickens.”
It was a funny image, but it stuck with me. Because it meant something deeper.
That moment—seeing cattle, chickens, and pasture sharing the same space—felt like a glimpse of how things used to be. When we lived closer to our food, closer to the land, and closer to what mattered. It reminded me that hunting, ranching, and raising animals aren’t just about the end product—they’re about connection. To the land. To our food. And to ourselves.
