At Lost Chicken Outfitters, we believe every hunt should matter. That includes does. Our doe hunts offer a chance to bring home clean, quality wild meat while playing a key role in responsible herd management. Whether you’re an experienced hunter or just getting started, these hunts are a great way to make your time in the field meaningful. Doe hunts are flat-rate: no day fees, no trophy fees. Whether you take a doe or go home empty-handed, the price doesn’t change.

Hunt Options

Semi-Guided $400

• We’ll get you to your blind, make sure you’re set up safely, and confirm you’re comfortable with your shot opportunities.

• Once you make a harvest, just give us a call or text and we’ll help retrieve the animal and haul to camp or the nearest processor.**

• This option is great for confident hunters who prefer a bit of independence.

• Additional doe can be added for $200

Fully Guided (+$200 Add-On)

Upgrade your experience with hands-on guidance throughout the hunt

• One-on-one support from a guide for the duration of your hunt

• Dedicated guide for the duration of the hunt

• Help identifying target does for harvest

• Shot placement advice based on your firearm and skill level

• Field tracking assistance

• General support, tips, and guidance from an experienced hunter throughout the day

• We’ll either break your animal down for the cooler or haul your harvest to the processor and take care of paperwork while you continue to hunt**

This is a great option for anyone who wants a more catered experience in the field.

Weekend Doe Hunt – $600

Looking for a full weekend in the field? Our Weekend Doe Hunt package is built for exactly that.

What’s Included:

• Two days of hunting (Saturday & Sunday)

• Two does included in the base price

• Additional does may be added for $100 each (within license limits)

Optional Add-Ons:

• Fully Guided Hunt – $300
  Let us take you into the field, assist with locating deer, and provide shot placement advice for a premium experience.

• RV Parking & Hookups – $45/night
  Bring your own RV and we’ll provide parking space with hookups so you can stay close to the action. (Select the RV add-on at checkout.)

Please note: Lodging is not currently included. All hunters must be prepared to properly care for and transport their harvest.

Friday Night Doe Hunt – $75

Are you a local looking for some easy meat or just happen to be in town during the week? Head out to the ranch for a quick evening hunt.

What’s Included:

• Show up to the ranch around 4pm

• We’ll give you a lay of the land, your welcome to post up in a blind or walk around looking for deer. This is very much a DIY hunt.

  • Please be extra careful of your target. Calf elk can look surprisingly like doe white tail.

• Give us a text or call and we can come pick your animal up, we’ll either haul it to the processor or take it back to camp to break down for the cooler.

Optional Add-Ons:

• Fully Guided Hunt – $200
  Let us take you into the field, assist with locating deer, and provide shot placement advice for a premium experience.

• RV Parking & Hookups – $45/night
  Bring your own RV and we’ll provide parking space with hookups so you can stay close to the action. (Select the RV add-on at checkout.) You can check out the next morning or book a regular day hunt.

Add-ons

• Hog hunt - allows unlimited harvest of feral pigs while on the property.

• Dove hunt - Seasonally during dove seasons.

  • Bring your shotgun! In addition to your morning and evening doe hunts, you’ll head to a dove stand in the late morning or early afternoon to fill your dove limit.

  • Only Sept 27 - Oct. 26, 2025 or Dec. 12, 2025 - Jan. 14, 2026

• RV Spot - If you want to book multiple days we can get you an RV spot with water and power. Just drop a note how big your RV will be in the notes on your reservation.

Important Details

• There are elk and cattle on the property. It is very important to confirm short placement. If any elk or cattle are incidentally killed there will be a $10,000 penalty assessed to replace those animals.

• You must abide by Texas state laws, we can sell animals to max out your license, but you are responsible for tagging and license requirements. (We have had some hunters harvest as many as 4 deer in a day).

• Hunters doing the Semi-guided option should be prepared to either field dress or have the processor dress the animal for an additional fee. **

• Wounding an animal will count as a harvest and you will be charged for a full hunt.

We’re here to help if you’re new to this, but we do expect every hunter to respect the animal, the land, and the process.

** Processor fees are not included in this cost, each deer is subject to fees assessed by the meat processor. Alternatively clients may opt to hang their harvest and take it to their own processor.
